I’m an optioned screenwriter specializing in smart, character-driven comedies with heart. My work is often inspired by life on a 5-acre farm in the Pacific Northwest and my upbringing as a preacher’s kid surrounded by quirky congregants.
My scripts have placed in the Top 10 of multiple competitions, with recent recognition from the Emerging Screenwriters Competition, including for a new pilot.
I’m a member of the Northwest Screenwriters Guild and an alum of Hal Croasmun’s ScreenwritingU, where I completed the two-year Master Screenwriter’s Course, advanced comedy training, and the Bingeworthy TV Bootcamp. I’ve also completed Robert McKee’s Story Seminar.
Before screenwriting, I worked as a feature journalist, interviewing figures such as Dick Francis, Dallas Willard, and Captain Kangaroo. My work has appeared in Newsweek, The Seattle Times, Metropolitan Living, and Horse Illustrated.
When I’m not writing, I volunteer with Special Olympics and am learning to spin fiber from my llama.
Thanks for visiting — I’d love to connect.
